The Star Trek writers wanted to make Dragon Age into a brand new series.
Sam Maggs is expected to adapt Dragon Age into a new webtoon series after Recollection: A Star Trek Story.
After Recollection: A Star Trek Story premiered in late July, with Sam Maggs referring to Dragon Age as the next Webtoon IP.
Writer Sam Maggs told CBR's John Dodge that Dragon Age is the next game IP wants to bring to Webtoon.
Why does the Dragon Age website resonate?
The Dragon Age franchise began with BioWare role-playing game Dragon Age: Origins in ၂၀၀၉, which introduced players to the realm of Ferelden. Players create their own characters before taking on the role of Grey Warden, a former member of an ancient faction that fights Darkspawn as the surrounding kingdom sinks deeper into civil strife and social disruption.
A must-read for fans of Star Trek.
Webtoon's Recollection: A Star Trek Story is a must-read book for fans, and Maggs is currently lighting up the webtoon series that has been running since late July. The official story summary says Early doesn't know where she is or who she is when she opens her eyes. She wakes up on a starship with five other amnesiac passengers including the beautiful and violent Accel and Remy.
Balancing the feel of a New Trek series with that of a franchise
Maggs has said that she expects to play beloved Trek characters from the Voyager era in new seasons, which she calls her personal favorite. Maggs explains that Recollection's locked-room mystery atmosphere is quite liberating. While working on Picard's Academy for IDW, a series set during Jean-Luc's time at Starfleet Academy, he was surprisingly and certainly praised for its persistence over several decades.
