Rating of the seven most powerful Half-Saiyan in Dragon Ball
This list includes half-Saiyans from Dragon Ball, the hybrid power of Bulla Future Gohan Goten's early Super Saiyan powers and Trunks' burden.
The Saiyans have long sat at the center of Dragon Ball's storyline, and new Saiyan appearances are still immediately valuable as they hint at a higher power. As Saiyan science advances, hybrids come to the forefront of the phenomenon. With the emergence of new half-Saiyan characters, it has been featured in Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super , Dragon Ball GT, Dragon ball Z: The History of Trunks, Dragonball Super Heroes, and Dragonball Z: Bojack Unbound.
Hybrid blood does not need a life in combat.
Vegeta and Bulma's second child, a daughter named Bulla, arrives during the ten-year period leading up to Peaceful World Saga and 28th World Arms Race. She primarily appears as an infant in Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super materials, and her appearance regularly reflects that of Bulma. The excitement surrounding her birth is unnecessary; it expands on Saiyan family life.
Gohan and Videl's fourth-Saiyan daughter Pan demonstrated combat prowess at a young age. That early ability suggests that Bulla may have followed the same path, but had no interest in fighting until she was of Bulla's blood type. As Dragon Ball GT progresses another five years, he becomes interested in buying up major parts from slightly older Bulla. Vegeta appears to be content with accompanying her and making her completely submissive.
A visual record reinforces the interior: footage from Dragon Ball GT shows Vegeta and Bulla together in Capsule Corporation, with Bulla proudly standing and Baby Trunks and Baby Bulla fighting side by side.
AH: A terrible timetable is holding the Hybrid in its grip.
In Dragon Ball Z, science fiction and time travel as well as other timelines become part of its Saiyan logic. The future Gohan is a survivor from the destroyed Timeline of Future Trunks who has already been executed when the Future Tree arrives to help the heroes. He is also important in that he trains the Anagarth Tree which eventually becomes the catalyst for the Super Saiyan Ascension of the Anagart Pen.
Future Gohan adopts a life of danger, always on the run from future Androids 17 and 18. Their ferocious battles cost him an arm. He is still at Super Saiyan level but much weaker than regular Gohan.
Goten and Trunks: Faster milestones, different education
As the second child of Goku and Chichi, his role is incomplete as he often has regrets. However, Dragon Ball Z's seven-year timeline needs new young characters, and half a Saiyan also gives Trance a natural playmate.
Buu Saga is set in a world where Goten and Trunks seem to be able to save the world. However, Goten has not yet unlocked his early Super Saiyan debut post-transformation and lost privileges such as being included in the Tournament of Power.
Trunks carries a different burden. He lives in the shadow of Future Truncks, an older alternate timeline rival who stole the show in Dragon Ball Z's Cell Saga. Fans track his progress by comparing him to another version. The younger Trunk has faced apocalyptic threats but not the same fears, so his upbringing is more subdued and Vegeta still pushes him towards greatness.

Future Trunks: Transformation from trauma to power
Future Trunks displays Super Saiyan strength and easily kills Frieza and King Cold. With his superhuman abilities, impressive energy attacks, and swordsmanship at his disposal, the heroes must confront Cell with evil androids. He upgrades his skills through time-training alongside Vegeta inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
Goku and Vegeta successfully complete an experiment called Super Saiyan Second Grade, but Future Trunks pushes the idea even further. The Super Saiyajin Third Grade is an ineffective upgrade that will not be worth its huge skin, however, as future trunks continue to open up. After Dragon Ball Super he trains under Futurama and Kibito and helps him reach super saiyajin 2 level.
Fin: A non-canonical test of Saiyan DNA.
Super Dragon Ball Heroes is a promotional anime that plays alternate timelines and new characters from the original, making extensive use of its Demon enemies. Towa, an evil scientist, created Majin Android named Fin.
As a Majin, Fin can absorb individuals and this ability is where his Saiyan-hybrid status begins. He absorbs Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta and successfully samples the Saiyan's DNA even after the saiyan has left his body. In his Dark Gogeta case, Fin is technically half Saiyan because Majin's biology is combined with pure stolen Saiyan DNA.
Gohan set the standard for other hybrids to follow.
While Goku is still the centerpiece, Dragon Ball Z reads Gohan's story through an experiential arc throughout the series. The young Saiyan hybrid's powers are initially treated as anomalies.
Gohan relieves the warrior Saiyan while Goku, Piccolo and Krillin attempt to injure Raditz. His unique powers briefly make Nappa and Vegeta think of raising new half-Saiyan children in a world that would have greater power than they do.
Gohan's abilities continue to improve after he has fully unlocked his potential with the latest upgrade. These skills are set back by years of random training and family over weaponry. Then Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero introduces Gohan Beast, an update that makes him once again not only Dragon Ball's strongest hero but also half-Saiyan. The video documentary features Gohan grooming Kamehameha as Super Saiyan 2.
What else does the hybrid rule mean?
For readers, the Hybrid Rule is a storytelling solution. Acknowledging the limited Saiyan population of Universe 7, it allows for Saiyan power expansion. It also separates bloodlines and destinies. Bulla has no interest in combat but can still represent hybrid potential; Pan can show early martial prowess without being a full-fledged Saiyan; and Future Gohan can be shut down on a timetable with no resources.
