In the fall of ၂၀၂၆ five anime could become an archive after more than JUST episodes.

၂၀၂၆ Five anime releases in two weeks of autumn

Over the course of JUST Fall 2026, five anime titles have been separated from the season. The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage, also known as Chifu O, is getting a second lease on life! FX Fighter Kurumi-chan; Student Council has even holes in it!

Fictional anime that fights with its own title.

Despite having a title that evokes the image of an ordinary isekai anime, The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage Enjoys a Second Lease on Life or Chii Fuyo was one of the best Fall 2026 fantasy cartoons. The anime begins with Rein being kicked out by a team.

Rather than relying on a general narrative about the conqueror's rise to power, Chii Fuyo builds characters with humor and charm. Rein is an unusual protagonist who chooses to be happy and lucky and become an entrepreneur instead of taking revenge; Rein searches for a new team; Lily yells at Rein; and Rein, who seems happy, also reinforces this voice.

It's a seriously adventurous, colorful anime.

FX Fighter Kurumi-chan is a Studio Passione entry and a surprising addition to the Fall 2026 anime lineup. The anime focuses on an extremely unusual theme of foreign exchange trading:

FX Fighter Kurumi-chan realistically depicts the dazzling ups and downs of the trading world, which can easily lead to financial ruin. In addition to being realistic enough for an adventure to be comfortable, this makes the series one of the standout titles in spring 89000.

A student council comedy from the popular 4-koma manga.

Even the Student Council Has Holes! is adapted from a popular 4-koma manga and quickly earned its place in the ၂၀၂၆ fall anime lineup. It follows Ume Mizunoe, who rose to prominence in literature but was unsuccessful in science fiction.

The series begins with the president of the university's student union to the minister of finance, each member of the student council has a job, starting from PR who is trying to deceive young people. Studio Passione won over fans with its quality of action and the series caused quite a stir among comedy anime lovers.

It's an illusion of power that the protagonist has to create.

Overgeared follows a defeated protagonist's rise to power, but unlike the usual triumphant and aloof heroes, Grid is not an exalted saviour, but a greedy, flawed person who struggles in real life as well as games.

The anime is based on a game called VR , which can earn fame and money in real life. Rather than receiving a list of deceptive skills, Overgeared's Grid gets a classic book that forces him to build high-level items.

The romance of the Meiji era has a menacing characteristic.

The gray wedding is dedicated to Satoko, a pained noblewoman from the Meiji period who in her desperate quest for survival allows herself to marry her murderer Shinpei. To the surprise of every anime viewer and the protagonist himself, Shinpei is found to be an obsessed man who instantly accepts Satoko's proposal, setting the stage for a shocking psychological romance.

Firefly Wedding debuted in the ၂၀၂၆ fall anime season with powerful visuals and color. It is a historical fantasy drama that mixes danger and madness between beautiful aesthetics inspired by the Meiji era. The constant uncertainty over Satoko's relationship to Shinpei builds on the popularity of the anime.

What do the first two weeks mean for autumn ၂၀၂၆?

The first two weeks of Autumn ၂၀၂၆ reveal that the season's top contenders are not waiting to prove themselves in later episodes. Chifuyo, FX Fighter Kurumi-chan, Even Holes in the Student Council!, Overgeared and Firefly Wedding announce anyone's clear identity early on. P.A Works, Studio Passione, JC Staff and Davis Productions give their titles different empowerments, moving from fantasy, finance, school laughter, gaming and historical romance into an emotional realm.

The realistic assumption for viewers is that these series are already shaping up to be future watchable titles. A heart-pounding premise won't guarantee a beautiful run, but these premieres have enough appeal, quality of action, audio contrast and narrative power to make them stand out from the start.
