On Monday, a new manga by Claymore creator Norihiro Yagi called Batrlet Fairy Basslet was launched on the Shounen Jump+ platform.
Shounen Jump+ is launching a new series
Batrlet Fairy Basslet is not a sequel to Claymore, but rather presented as a new manga. The launch date on Shounen Jump+ is Monday.
Claymore's magazine edition and final volume
Yagi serialized Claymore in Monthly Shounen Jump from June ၂၀၀၁ to June ၂၀၂၀. After the magazine was discontinued, it moved to Jump SQ. in November ၂၀၁၄ and ended in October. Shueisha released its 27th and final volume on December ၂၀၁၄.
English license and reader conditions
VIZ Media licensed Claymore in English as ၂၀၀၆ in July, and released the 27th volume in October. The English license is linked to a final volume number that marks the end of Japanese for previous series; it's easy for readers to get practical - Yagi's new Shounen Jump+ series already arrived after one completed Claymore cycle.
