The creator of 'Houseki no Kuni' has started a new manga.

Monthly Afternoon magazine's December issue of ၂၀၂၆ announced on Friday that manga creator Haruko Ichikawa will launch a new science fiction manga titled Cosmic Mimimi in the next issue, which is set to be released on November 25.

Haruko is best known for Houseki no Kuni (Land of the Lustrous), which ran in Monthly Afternoon magazine from October ၂၀၁၂ to April ၂၀၂၄. The thirteenth and final volume was sold on November 224.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga in October of ၂၀၁၆, and has published thirteen volumes. The announcement, for readers who have followed Houseki no Kuni through that English-language version, links a new science fiction story led by the creator to an unfamiliar publisher name and a familiar magazine.
