And these Transformers characters are more powerful than Starscream.
Starscream's speed, negative radiation and opportunity were tested against Transformers men who surpassed him in armor, marksmanship, strength or tactics.
The Core Assessment: A seven-character test for the Decepticon.
A source article evaluates the Transformers character Starscream against seven rivals: Ultra Magnus, Grimlock, Sixshot, Shockwave, Megatron, Optimus Prime and Unicron. It presents StarScreen as a figure built with speed, deadly weapons and ambition to counter Decepticon ranks. His jet mode allows him to attack from unassailable angles for enemies on the ground, while his null rays can disrupt electrical systems.
However, the article repeatedly argues that Starscream relies on impressive tactics and opportunism rather than advantage in combat situations. His self-confidence is often his biggest obstacle against Transformers with larger weapons, more robustness, and a more formidable force.
Ultra Magnus: Sustainability and long-range shooting
The source claims that Starscream's hit-and-run tactic is less effective against the Ultra Magnus. The Autobot commander has a heavy armor, two lasers and missile launchers capable of attacking targets at long range. Its Generation 1 technical specifications give it an estimated value of 9, giving it a significant advantage in robust physical strength compared to StarScream seven.
Starscream can use its air superiority to shoot Magnus down from above, but several shots are not enough to end the battle as quickly as possible.
In close combat, the difference in attack styles becomes more pronounced. Magnus is able to use more mass and power against an opponent who will have to rely on evasion. The article also states that Magnus demonstrates significant skill at maneuvering during battle, making him much harder to deflect than the easy targets Starscream promotes.
Grimlock: The power of the dinosaur endangered nearby neighborhoods.
Grimlock has the strength and aggressiveness to make Starscream regret it. As leader of the dinosaurs, he possesses a highly protected build, powerful Tyrannosaurus maneuver, large jaws, and an energy sword. His Generation 1 profile states that his ability is second only to Optimus Prime's.
In the form of a dinosaur, his power allows him to bite through obstacles that normal Cybertronian vehicles would not. Starscream's flying ability gives him an advantage in avoiding direct encounters except when Grimlock forces him onto the ground. However, Grimloc has a dual missile launcher which can attack Starscream without having to wait until it gets closer.
The origins of Starscream's more streamlined structure and his inability to control the situation make him a formidable opponent against Dinobot, who can break through walls in order to avoid battle. Grimlock could use his robot sword to slash Starscreem or switch to dinosaur mod to bring firepower from his mouth and herd.
Though Starscream is still able to avoid the battle's deadlock, she will need to exert more effort than her usual moves in order to defeat an enemy who can keep fighting no matter what route he chooses.
Sixshot: Six different modes to bring down the Aerial Edge?
As Sixshot is highly dangerous, its six variants allow him to change combat conditions without giving his opponent much time to adjust. Depending on the sequence, these modes include a robot, a gun, a jet plane, an automobile, a tank and a werewolf.
Starscream specializes in aerial combat, but Sixshot can handle its own flight mode before switching to heavier ground-based modes as the battle changes. The tank structure provides a distinct threat with a relatively light jet frame compared to Sixshot. Strong fire on the ground may limit Starscream's approach while allowing him to seek out, relocate or attack from unexpected angles.
Although Starscream's null rays are dangerous because they can interfere with electrical systems, Sixsot must land these shots before it is able to close the distance or change form.
While air strikes may fail to end the battle, a ground attack exposes Starscream to heavier weapons and physical pressures than other variants of Sixshot.
Shockwave: Firepower Ten and cold accuracy create a deadly problem.
Shockwave's biggest advantage over Starscream is the destructive power of its arm-mounted energy gun. Its Generation 1 profile has a fire extinguishing rating between 10 and nine levels, seven higher than that of its counterparts.
Unlike Starscream, which often allows Pride to direct actions, Shockwave approaches war as a problem to be solved. His scientific know-how gives him access to advanced technologies such as the Space Bridge and other projects from Generation 1 continuity.
While Starscream's flight may confuse Shockwave's target, the predictable attack pattern of Starscream will give Decepticons many opportunities to exploit it.
Decepticons could be damaged before they reach their firing range, and Shockwave's impressive power makes a close encounter equally risky. I don't think it will be easy for either side to win because Starscream's null rays can interfere with ShockWave systems.
Megatron: The Decepticon leader punishes the ambition of Starscream.
In the original Generation 1 sequel, Megatron rules the Decepticons with fear and physical power as well as a destructive fusion gun. Although Starscream constantly plots to kill him and replace him, Megetron repeatedly thwarts their plans. The villain must always deal with the ambition, powers, and weapons of the Deception leader.
The article claims that Megatron's speed and power can overcome Starscream, while his fusion cannon gives the Decepticons protection.
Their encounters end with the ever-vigorous warrior either escaping or taking over the battle. The skill between the two Decepticons is most evident each time Starscream attempts to kill his superior, and when that happens, Megatron's reactions tend to demonstrate its strength.
No matter how much Starscream tries to outsmart Megatron, he cannot win in a fair fight; the harder he tries, the more he reveals his own weakness. Although Starscream may sometimes surprise Megatran with her ideas, surprising an opponent is not the same as winning.
Optimus Prime: Ten forces and discipline bring the distance closer.
Optimus Prime's Generation 1 profile rates his strength at 10, exceeding the rating of Starscream. The Autobot leader regularly survives battles with Megatron, whose destructive abilities go far beyond what Starscreem offers in direct confrontation.
Theoretically, Starscream could have easily threatened Optimus from the air if it had used repeated gunfire rather than close-quarters combat, but Optimum faced many more aerial and heavily armed competitors in trade, and his experience made such a simple tactic ineffective.
Optimus's power will be punished by putting Starscream within striking distance, and his weapons may give you a lot of options before anything happens. The difference is in how we approach the battle.
While Starscream's mobility prolonged the battle, Optimus had strength, endurance and discipline to break through and win.
Unicron: A planet-devouring scale unbalances the attack.
Unicron not only defeats Starscream in a one-on-one battle, but also drives all Transformers who oppose him to madness. In the film ၁၉၈၆, he takes on the form of a giant robot to fight Cybertron after eating the planet Lithone. His size and capabilities far exceed what his regular weapons and body parts are expected to match.
Starscream's strongest features could not compete with an enemy of this caliber; its ability to fly would help it evade direct fire, but did little for large-scale variation and provided no way to complete the battle. The article noted that Megatron himself had relied on a new body from Unicron.
A weakness of Unicron only expands Unicrons abilities when it enters the film. While The Matrix of Leadership is able to end his reign of terror in the ၁၉၈၆ movie, not even Optimus Prime's power can overcome its ruthless might; Starscream has brains and ambition but isn't much use when battling a metal giant that consumes planets.
The Bible says: "He that is walking with wise persons will become wise, but he that is having dealings with the stupid ones will fall".
The original article for readers states that Starscream is only dangerous when it can fight according to its own rules - from the air, with unexpected angles or null rays targeting electrical systems. After an opponent comes equipped with a heavier jacket, long-range weapons, several alternative models, firepower ratings, leadership ethics, or a planet-eating scale, his moves are undecided.
The pattern among the seven characters is that Starscream's ambition and cunning create holes, but larger weapons, more resilient powers, and his self-confidence reveal a handicap.
