This review covers Otaku and Gal Volume 3.
Otaku x Gal Part III: Narumi is aware of the feeling, school shows go fast, attractive actors and art makes it fun.
Square Enix Manga published Otaku x Gal Volume 3 in the West, translated by Caleb D. Cook and scripted by Finn K. The edition initially featured a coloring page that can be previewed for free on the Square Enix website. The book follows a second entry which gives characters a break from their daily lives at school; although this entry is entertaining, it did not fully isolate the series from the community.
After the Golden Week, I returned to school.
The trip is not described as inspiring great enthusiasm, but the students have free time to do whatever they like. Otakura gets lost in a group with Narumi and wants to go shopping with him and his twin friends Shion and Kanon Murata.
As Otakura demonstrates her eye for fashion during the holidays, Naomi decides that no shopping trip will be complete without him. Her reaction changes when she focuses Otakuras attention solely on the twins. Otto also notes that he has become quite popular at school. Although Narumi is happy for him, in the story she must use her frustrations to show that she doesn't have all of his attention herself and begin to understand why it bothers him.
(Proverbs 13:20) We can be confident that Jehovah will not abandon us.
The series covers Otakura's birthday, summer vacation and preparations for an upcoming school festival. Despite numerous events, the main focus is Narumi realizing that she has feelings. This ploy was described by the series as needing to stop feeling like its wheels are spinning because the rest of the cast already knew about Narumi's emotions and her story could only move forward when she started meeting them personally.
Riko, Narumi's friend is available for only a short time on this record. Although the review felt that Riko might be lost in a love triangle situation, girls who inspire Naomi's jealousy are largely new to Volume 3. The story welcomes diversion from a possible trilogy with Riko and does not need to close the door. Now that it has become known that Narumi likes Otakura, the author expressed hope that she could approach development in an interesting way.
(Matthew 28:19, 20) What a wonderful privilege it is to be able to do so!
What's disturbing about the book is that in one episode, the story shifts from celebrating Golden Week to mid-summer and tries to navigate through this period. It turns out Christmas Eve can be found in some of these episodes.
Even with those reviews, the book is treated as a delightful read. The actors are quite engaging; the artwork supports the story and it's seen that the series tries to address its weaknesses.
