Seven Naruto transformations that are so powerful they're comparable to the Baryon Mode.
Naruto's Baryon Mode remains a standard, but several modifications close the gap without incurring the same loss of life. Six Paths Sage Mode, Madara's Ten-Tails Jinchuriki mode and Might Guy's Eight Inner Gates expand power levels with speed, endurance and cosmic qualities.
In the Naruto series, Baryon Mode has appeared only once and other variations are still testing the energy ceiling.
Naruto Uzumaki is a young ninja who dreams of becoming the Hokage, village leader and most powerful ninja in search of recognition. He pulls out Baryon Mode once throughout the entire story; he unlocks it during his final battle with Isshiki Otsutsuki in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. The mode improved his qualities more than ever before, allowing him to fight on equal terms with Otsutsuk.
Fans tend to treat Baryon Mode as a limitation of power within the Naruto universe, and this fact is verified by looking at the number JUST . However, other modifications have also been released that manage to bring distances closer without demanding the same price. This is the beauty of shonen storytelling, because new formats are still pushing audiences to reevaluate where reality really has its limits.
The Six Paths Sage Mode gives Naruto a set of cosmic tools.
Studio Pierrot images show Naruto holding a kunai in his mouth during Six Paths Sage Mode, with Naruto wielding the Magnet Style Rasengan at Shippuden during the Sixth Shinobi War and Naruto during the Eighth Shinobis. Naruto took on the Six Way Sage mode through the Fourth Great Ninja War received by Hagoromo Otsutsuki. Since then he has run it alongside Nine-Tails Chakra Mode, combining the two powers into one form.
Naruto is able to retrieve truth-seeking balls and remain unharmed in the midst of battle. His sensors are also expanded extensively to capture Limbo shadow clones. The results of the attack revisit the hype: Naruto responded to lightning speed attacks, severing one arm off Kaguya before she could move and making a desperate attempt at a Chidori.
The transformation of Madara's ten-horned Jinchūriki turns her into a living god.
In Pierrot Studio images, Madara Uchiha becomes Ten-Tails' Jinchuriki during the Fourth Great Ninja War; in Naruto Shippuden it shows Madara fighting Team 7 as a Ten Tails Jinchūriki. Madara gains the form of a ten tail Jinchuriki during The Second Great ninja war to complete the Eye of the Moon sequence.
Once the transformation is complete, Madara's chakra resources are essentially unlimited, allowing him to throw back powerful technologies without drying out. Naruto tries using Sage Mode to read the power of Ten-Tails but is overwhelmed by Kurama, who calls its size unknown. Gyuki warns that reaching the final version of Ten Tails will put a stop to his quest; however, even Madara has come very close to proving this point.
Can Guy's eight inner gates allow him to escape the speed that distorts reality?
After twenty years of arduous training, Mighty Duy has mastered the Eight Gates technique and then passed it on to his son, Might Guy. The gates work by removing the natural limitations of the brain, which normally limits the body to its full potential at ၂၀%. Unlocking each one allows the user more Chakra and physical productivity.
Guy has full possession of all eight gates, and only a handful have been conquered by shinobi in history. Opening the eighth and final gate guarantees death; so Duy and Guy follow a strict personal rule to open the gates only to protect something that deserves to die. During the battle with Madara Uchiha, Guy's speed at the Eighth Gate was such that it could physically wipe out his surroundings, even as Madara struggled to push him back strongly.
Borushiki shows that Boruto's karma can borrow the power of God Otsutsuki.
Studio Pierrot depicts Borushiki from Boruto with a haughty expression on his face. Borushik emerges when Boruto's brand of karma allows Momoshiki Otsutsuki to take over his body during the battle against Boro. At that time, Boruto has had to severely shed chakras so Momoshik steps in and fights off the power of the real Otsutsuk.
The transformation is unusual in that it accumulates borrowed power over Boruto's personal stash. Momoshiki inadvertently sucks chakra from Naruto, turning him into the giant Rasengan. This attack is almost identical to what Naruto and Boruto used to kill him.
Kawaki's Karma label preserves Isshiki's genetic heritage without the beast cost of Baryon Mode.
An image from Studio Pierrot shows Kawaki activating his karma seal while handling the Code in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. After realizing that Jigen was no longer able to hold her chakra, Isshiki Otsutsuki inserted his own karma seal into Kawaki's left palm. He took advantage of Amado Sanzu's research and completed the transfer.
Karma exists to gradually overwrite the ship's genetic information, leading to Otsutsuki's ultimate reincarnation within the host. Even in its incomplete state, the badge gave Kawaki powerful physical abilities and Code confirmed that the final output had reached Isshiki's dojutsu and fighting strength of ၁၀၀%. Techniques such as Daikokuten and Sukunahikona came with this power, giving Kawaki additional tools for controlling almost every battle on Boruto.
Baryon Mode comes from combining with a tailed creature, and works by inserting Karma Otsutsuki's genetic heritage into the human body. Both pathways take users to territory reserved for some of the series' most powerful events: JUST using an entirely different mechanic.
Momoshiki's mastery of Kinshiki puts Otsutsuki power on a collision course with Naruto and Sasuke.
In Episode 65 of Studio Pierrot's Boruto, Momoshiki is shown fending off attacks from Naruto and Sasuke. Otsutsuki Moishi arrives in the shinobi world to search for Kaguya's God Tree and works with his partner Kinshiki to harvest chakra from the 7th Hokage.
They attacked Sasuke and Naruto equally while using their strongest abilities. The flying, time-space ninjutsu complemented his equipment, allowing him to shift angles at will despite the high cost of chakra. To reach this level, feeding an ally came no closer than what was achieved in Baryon Mode.
The mark of Karma on Jigen's ship Isshiki reveals how the two Shinobi are pressured.
An image by Studio Pierrot shows Isshki partially transforming Jigen's body while fighting Naruto and Sasuke in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. Originally a monk, Jigen had his own body captured by Ishiki Otsutsuki and turned into a pot, later rising to lead Kara as the organization's replacement leader. Inuyama felt her power from afar and immediately urged him to approach the seventh Hokage with support.
Jigen is able to block Naruto and almost kills Sasuke in the same experience. Over a thousand years of his physical existence comes from this same karmic identity, with solar patterns spread throughout his body. Especially when battling Baryon Mode against Naruto, Isshiki gets knocked down for most of the battle but stands on his feet at the end of the hour.
What remains consistent for readers is that Baryon Mode is the largest number in the JUST series; it's a one-time power-up and comes with an obvious price tag. Its single activation, attacking Isshiki Otsutsuki, has reshaped Naruto's face, but Six Paths Sage Mode, Madara's Ten-Tails mode, Might Guy's Eight Gates, Borushiki, Kawaki's Karma, Momoshiki's absorbing force, and Jigen's ships have continued to reveal ways in which the universe of Naruto can approach the face using different mechanics and various adventures.
