We've ranked the 10 most powerful characters in Dragon Ball Fusion.
This list compares the top Dragon Ball mixed martial artists Vegito, Gogeta, Fused Zamasu, Anilaza and Kefla in terms of energy and combat.
Dragon Ball has used fusion as a recurring combat tactic in its franchise, turning two or more fighters into a single superhero. From the ၂၀၀၈ original video animation special Dragon Ball: Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!! to Dragon Ball Super's Tournament of Power and Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga, fusion has repeatedly reshaped power levels and produced some of the series' strongest characters. This process can be done by combining Metamoran jumps, Potara headphones, or other alternative methods, which is an interesting way to mix up the situation.
The ceiling, the Bejeweled and the Go-Go's
As Goku and Vegeta are two of the most powerful characters in Dragon Ball, their combinations stand as a unique harmonious combination between two divine Saiyans. Vegito introduced Potara Earring Fusion to compete with Super Buu, who fights this ancient evil even after Vegito has transformed into Chips. Gogeta's Metamoran fusion dance union demonstrates superior strength over that of the Legendary Super Saiyan, truly splitting the qualitative difference by attacks.
GoGeeta harnesses the power of Super Saiyan Blue to humiliate Omega Shenron in Dragon Ball GT as a super saiyan 4 play. In source footage described by Toei Animation, it is revealed that Vegito has made a massive energy attack on Drone Ball Super while Evolved Gogeta was preparing Kamehameha in Super Dragon Ball Heroes; Vegito managed to overcome Blue Zamasu and Gogeta executed an attack to eliminate Blue Broly.
Zamasu: Immortality makes it difficult to stop the threat.
Goku Black and Future Zamasu form an especially terrifying pair, as their endless hatred of each other drives the narrative. Frustrated by humanity's cycles and flawed nature, he teams up with his future self to steal Gogus body and gain immortality using Super Dragon Balls.
When Goku, Vegeta and Future Trunks are pushed into a corner, the evil allies become Fused Zamasu using Potara earrings. This entity is virtually invincible after its divine awakening and future Zamatsu's immortality is added to the equation. Some of the franchise's most powerful technologies such as Vegito Blue's Final Kamehameha damage Fused Zamsu's body but fail to kill him.
Anilaza: The mechanics of Universe 3 test the top fighters.
Dragon Ball Super's Tournament of Power confronts the strongest from Universe 7 with a surprising array of threats. The many different universes in the Arms Race feature various gimmicks and basic themes, and Team Universe 3 features numerous super-powered robot soldiers.
Borareta, Koitsukai and Pancéa unite as Koicéareta, who in turn merges with Paparoni to become Anilaza. Source images also tag robot fighter Agnilasa in Tournament of Power.
Kefla: The Potara Saiyan Rise of the Sixth Universe
Cabba, Kale and Caulifla of Universe 6 bring something special to the fight. However, when the latter two use a combination that completely changes the game in Tournament of Power. In Kale's Potara Earring fusion with Caulifula, Kefla combines the former's Legendary Super Saiyan power with the latter's overwhelming enthusiasm and confidence.
As Super Saiyan 2, Kefla's powers are comparable to those of Ultra Instinct Goku, who is responsible for destroying her Tournament of Power.
Gotenks: The next generation of success.
Goten and Trunks are featured as the next generation of heroes in Dragon Ball Z's Buu Saga. These young Saiyans advance to Super Saiyan status earlier than others, and their constant teaming makes them natural fusion candidates.
Super Saiyan 3's power is extremely rare, making Gotenks easily one of the series' biggest combination success stories. His creation techniques including his Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack and Continuous Die Die Missile also give him an unpredictable style of attack that is difficult to counter.
Super 17: Android: Merging from Hell
Dragon Ball GT's most controversial storyline involves a lengthy Jailbreak from Hell, and describes the temporary return of several previous interruptions. This breakdown event led to Dr. Myuu being able to locate Hell Fighter 17, which combined with Dr. Gero's Android 17 eventually became Super 17.
Hell Fighter 17's evil programming takes over and transforms this Android into a truly destructive threat. Super 17' s tougher skin and power boost also benefits from machine gun weapons and crippling energy attacks such as his Apocalyptic Shocking Death Ball strike. Strangely, this combination of the Android, includes an array of energy-absorbing arm sensors that were basic on older models of Android.
Miza, Iwaza and Kikaza: Threatened Prisoners of the Triad
In Dragon Ball Super's Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga, powerful rivals are unleashed as Moro elaborates a plan to seize control of the resources of the galactic patrol. While Goku and Vegeta prepare for Moro, the remaining Z-Fighters become active members of the prestigious Galaxy Patrol. Master Roshi and Krillin face off against three brave policemen: Miza, Iwaza, and Kikaza, portrayed as fierce Galactic Bandit Brigade brawlers.
The trio merges into one giant creature capable of defeating Krillin and Master Roshi, eventually even using a radical form of Ultra Instinct. While Goku eliminates the combined threat with a single blow, her success impresses powerful supporting players after the events of Tournament of Power.
Majub: GT's Uub and Good Buu magically reunite
Uub is one of the most intriguing characters in Dragon Ball, and one with potential that has been lost due to the franchise's creative, non-linear storytelling.
Dragon Ball GT describes Uub's future, as it includes a powerful method of merging with Good Buu. Since Uub is technically the reincarnation of Kid Buu, this union reunites this superhero and unleashes great power in his new form Majuub. Although Majhub isn't very different from Uub, his outfits are transformed, and he gains access to many of Buu's magical basics: for example, Majuup's Chocolate Kamehameha can turn targets into sugar.
The Kimbitoko - A Neglected Example of Potara
The alliance between Kibito Kai, the Potara Earring Shin and his deputy Kibito is a powerful entity that's often overlooked. Their merger usually occurs as an example of Goku helping to show off his powers; their group was later separated by screen with the help of Dragon Balls.
Kibito Kai is no longer able to participate in real combat, making his full powers a mystery. However, both Shin and Kibito are deities with their own qualities. Piccolo has threatened to take over Shin during the 25th World Tournament.
AKA: ၂၀၀၈ Combination of low-level Frieza Force from the Special
၂၀၀၈ Dragon Ball: Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!! is a special anniversary game for the JUST franchise. It's fun to reconnect with these characters after their long absence. The festivities that kick off the original video animation special are interrupted by two underclass Frieza Force soldiers, Abo and Kado.
Goten and Trunk provide a challenge, but the enemies work their own unique combination to become even more sinister spaces. The dance is dominated until its Sian rivals are reformed and merged into Gotenks.
Aka's power is less prominent in the grand scheme of things, but he has shown impressive energy strikes such as Wahaha no Ha and Flaming Wahahaha no Ha. They are truly devastating, with destructive explosions reminiscent of Gotenks' insane assault arsenal: Dragon Ball: The Return of Son Goku and Friends!, Dragonball: Yo!
Why would fusion destabilize the status quo?
Fusion is more than a temporary power-up. It's a storytelling tool that allows you to merge established Dragon Ball characters, create new identities and rebalance without permanently sacrificing the fighters involved. When executed correctly, it can be fun and brings out many of the series' most powerful characters.
The Metamoran fusion dance creates the Gotenks, Gogeta and Aka experiment. Potara Earrings creates Kibito Kai, Vegito, Kefla and Fused Zamasu. Alternative arrangements provide Super 17, Majuub, Anilaza and Miza combinations of Iwaza and Kikaza in their various forms. Some alliances dominate the surface while others are mysteriously or intentionally confined to it.
